When Miracle first told me about the vision she had for her wedding, i knew we would get along just fine.
She mentioned Lana Del Ray, burgundy red details, romantic drapery, with a theme name of she coined, "petal and pines meet natural beauty". I was locked in and beyond excited to see the vision come to life.
January 16th arrived with the sunniest and bluest skies. The kind of day where you step outside and immediately know the photos are going to be bomb no matter what, wherever you turn the light was beautiful, the colours were vibrant, it was ethereal, it was dreamy and it was magical. Woodlands Estate served as the perfect backdrop, with its beautiful heritage homestead, sprawling fields, manicured gardens, and little hidden pockets of nature, it feels like stepping into another fairytale world.
Their wedding ceremony was one of the most moving celebrations I had ever witnessed. The pastor spoke with a voice that belonged in movies, his words carrying through the space with so much warmth and emotion. Despite the scorching heat, everyone was completely present, soaking in every prayer, every blessing, and every promise made.
And then came the reception, the kind that you tell stories about for years to come.
The MC created his own rendition of the Air New Zealand safety video for his housekeeping speech, a moment that had everyone cracking up laughing, and i don't know about anyone else, but it brought a little tear to my eye too. The energy was just unmatched, from best dressed contests, incredible performances, and cousins ending up shirtless on the dance floor, it was full of laughter, culture, and the kind of joyful chaos that makes a celebration truly unforgettable.
