When I first met Gracyn, I was immediately in awe. She was a cool girl through and through, badass sleeve, cool hair, effortless energy, and when she told me she was wearing a veil with black detailing, I was like yep, I’m ready.
Gracyn and Jason held their celebration at the beautiful Stables in Matakana, and opted for an intimate indoor ceremony by the fireplace. With the warm glow of the fire, the cosy interiors, and everyone gathered closely around them, it felt incredibly intimate and completely them. There was something so cinematic about the whole setting, like we had stepped into a little world of our own for the afternoon.
The Stables really came alive as the evening went on. The warm, moody atmosphere made everything feel that much more romantic. The reception was filled with laughter, funny moments and good food. I loved how relaxed everything felt, no one was trying too hard, everyone was just completely in the moment, enjoying being together and celebrating Gracyn and Jason.
And then, of course, the dance floor absolutely popped off. Every single song on my emo playlist somehow made its way onto the dance floor, which was a first for me at a wedding, but I sincerely hope it isn't the last. There was screaming, questionable dance moves, very committed performances, and the kind of energy that makes you forget you're technically there to work.
Gracyn and Jason's day was effortlessly cool, intimate, a little moody, and completely their own. Exactly how a wedding should be.
Here’s a little glimpse into their beautiful day.
